Starting a new project can be exciting. Finding out you need a permit after your contractor has arrived can be frustrating.  Make sure you are prepared by reaching out to the Architectural Office here at Roadhaven as well as the Division of Building Safety and Inspections at the city.

According to the City of Apache Junction, below are just some of the projects that ‘may or usually’ require permits:

• Re-roofing
• Replacing windows and doors
• Remodeling kitchens and bathrooms
• Installing electrical outlets and lighting fixtures
• Building an AZ room, patio, or addition
• Installing appliances and replacements (furnaces, water heaters, HVAC/mini split units, and generators)
• Re-siding
• Installing plumbing and/or electric to a shed
• Accessory structures
• New Park Model Sets

How to apply for a permit:

All building permit applications are now accepted online only via the online portal located at www.mygovernmentonline.org.

You must create and account to do anything within the portal.

From a laptop, go to www.mygovernmentonline.org and click on CREATE ACCOUNT in the upper right of your screen.

From a mobile device go to www.mygovernmentonline.org, click on the 3 horizontal lines in upper right of your screen to expand the menu and then click on REGISTER.

NOTE: The phone number you enter will be used to verify your identity. Once you are done setting up your account, My Government Online will call the number you entered to confirm that you created an account. Please be available to answer the phone at the number you entered.
