RESIDENT NEWSLETTER
PUBLISHED ON FRI. OCTOBER 31, 2025
It’s shaping up to be a busy start to the season. As more residents return, we have important updates from the Main Office, Maintenance, and several departments, plus a few friendly reminders to help things run smoothly.Â
Important Reminder:
Welcome Back PartyÂ
Saturday, November 01
4:30 – 7:30PM
Bell Tower Courtyard
We’re excited to welcome everyone back for the new season! Please remember that streets must remain clear and open at all times for medical and emergency access.
Residents may bring chairs to sit on the patio, but no parking or standing vehicles will be allowed on surrounding streets during the event. Your cooperation helps ensure everyone’s safety.

New Lost and Found Bins
Misplaced something around the Resort?
Items that are found will now be placed in Lost and Found bins located at the following areas:
- Phase I Pool
- Rec Hall
- Fitness Center
- Shuffleboard Courts
- Between Tennis and Pickleball
Please check these locations if you’ve lost an item before contacting the office.
Club Deposits and Club Check Requests
These are now being handled through the Main Office, not the Activities Office. If you have any questions, please contact Gina in the Main Office (Accounting) for assistance.
Maintenance Yard Reminder
The Maintenance Yard is a secured area and will remain locked at all times for liability and safety reasons. Residents should not attempt to enter, bang on gates, or call out to staff to borrow tools, tow ropes, or other equipment.
Please remember that our maintenance crew’s tools and vehicles are for community operations only. Over the years, some informal habits have developed, but it’s important that we reset expectations to protect everyone’s safety and respect the time of our maintenance team.
If you need a tow rope, please contact Security,
as they carry them on their carts. Garden tools for resident use are available in the Garden Shed.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe, efficient, and respectful environment for all.
First Town Hall of the Season
Will take place Thursday, November 6 at 7PM in the Rec Hall. You can also join online via Zoom.

Garden Shop Volunteers Needed ASAP
The Garden Shop is in immediate need of volunteers.
Right now, Security staff have been stepping in to help, but due to the volume of calls, this is limiting their ability to patrol the Resort and perform safety checks.
If you’re able and willing to lend a hand, please sign up on the Volunteer page.
Your help makes a real difference in keeping our community running smoothly.
Employee of the Month
Tom Thomen
Congratulations to Tom Thomen, in Security, our Employee of the Month!
Tom was nominated by his fellow team members for consistently going above and beyond in every aspect of his work. He’s dependable, hardworking, and always willing to step in wherever needed, even taking on extra shifts, including long 16-hour days, with a positive and professional attitude.
Tom’s dedication and teamwork make him an invaluable part of the Roadhaven family. Thank you, Tom, for everything you do!
Main Office Reminders
Our Main Office is currently assisting a high volume of returning residents and renter registrations. Please be patient with staff as they work hard to process everyone as quickly as possible.
We’re seeing many renters arriving without completed Owner Authorization Forms.
To avoid delays, please complete this form before your renters arrive and remind them to pre-register online to speed up their check-in process.
Pet Registration: All pets must be registered at the Main Office, please fill out this form.
Gate Fobs: Please bring your gate fobs with you when visiting the office.

Emergency Repairs on Weekends and Holidays
If you experience issues with plumbing, heating, or air conditioning during a weekend or holiday, please don’t wait until the next business day.
You are encouraged to contact a licensed repair company right away so the problem can be resolved quickly. Our office will handle any permits, paperwork, or follow-up when we return. Your safety and health come first.
Why We Conduct Resale Inspections
We’ve received several questions about the purpose of Resale Inspections, so here’s some clarification.
A resale inspection serves as a disclosure of any possible non-compliance issues found at a property. It does not prevent a property from being sold or purchased. The purpose is simply to ensure the buyer is aware of any issues before the sale is completed.
Permits and Compliance
Both current and new owners may apply for building permits to complete maintenance, repairs, or to bring a property into compliance.Â
Slow Down! Speed Limits Are Enforced
Yet another reminder for bicycles, golf cats, and cars to please obey all posted speed and stop signs within the Resort. Speeding in any type of moving object is dangerous and puts your fellow residents and staff at risk. Please operate responsibly, our community’s safety depends on it.
Golf Memberships Now Available
The Golf Shop is now open for membership sales only.
Congratulations to Lorne Smeland, the first resident to purchase his 2025–2026 golf membership!
Lorne received a set of golf balls and a fun photo opportunity with the Golf Shop team to celebrate the occasion.
Stop by the Golf Shop to get your membership and be part of the new season!
