Several years ago, a group of Roadhaven residents spearheaded an effort to create a bocce court. Since that time, bocce play has grown to league play three days a week. Other days, there is open bocce play.
Like most activities in the park, bocce is played for the exercise but also for the camaraderie of the team players.
The Church is a non-denominational ministry operated for, and by, residents of Roadhaven Resort. Our objective is to glorify the Lord, teach biblical truth, and provide a place of worship and Christian fellowship with their neighbors.
The Church ministry is governed by a committee from the membership of the congregation under the leadership of a chairman of the committee. The committee meets for business meetings on the third Monday of each month.
Church services are held every Sunday from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM in the Recreation Hall beginning the first Sunday in November until Easter Sunday. This is a non-denominational service, and everyone is welcome. We end the service with a fellowship of coffee and cookies, which are provided by members of the congregation.
Our pastor, Dr. Jack Martin, has served as our pastor since 1989. Besides leading tours of Israel, Egypt, Jordan and Greece, he has also had briefings with Congress many times and will attend again this year.

The Roadhaven Shuffleboard Club works hard to provide a structured organization with which to operate and maintain the Shuffleboard Facility for the enjoyment and use by residents of Roadhaven.
They organize and direct Shuffleboard Fall and Spring in park Leagues, tournament and novelty play activities along with providing learning opportunities to interested residents of Roadhaven in shuffleboard game rules, strategies and play techniques.
Residents are allowed to play in the organized Potluck games, which are held Monday to Thursday at 9:00 am. New players can play 5 games before they have to register as a club member. Membership is $20 per year.
The shuffleboard facilities are available 7 days a week. Visitors are allowed to use the facilities as long as they are accompanied by a current member of the Roadhaven Shuffleboard Club. No children under 12 years of age are allowed on the courts. Children over 12 are allowed with adult supervision only.
The Shuffleboard Club hosts a Memorial Tournament, Singles Tournament and Battle of the Sexes Tournament for members of the club. The club also hosts the Roadhaven Cash Tournament for shufflers in the East Valley. There are several social events throughout the season.

While the Fitness Club is one of the “younger” clubs at Roadhaven, established in February of 2000, it is also one of the larger clubs, with approximately 400 members.
The Wellness Center was first established in the old Golf Pro Shop next door to the Cantina. That space was nearly doubled with an addition, in time for the 2009/10 season. The continuing growth and popularity of the facility has made even that space seem inadequate at times. In the 2013/4 season, we added the services of a personal trainer, to provide a professional augmentation of the services provided all along by volunteers.
The latest improvement to the facility was the May 2014 replacement of the stretching and strength equipment. The new equipment is pictured at the left. This involved an investment of $19000, by the Fitness Club Board. This investment was 100% funded by the fees paid by the members who use the facility.
As well as the strength equipment mentioned above, the Wellness Center has a full complement of aerobic equipment: exercise bikes, treadmills, and elliptical trainers.
You are welcome to visit the Wellness Center – it is open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day – and is located just to the West (left) of the Cantina main entrance. To join, complete the entry form you will find just inside the door, and mail it as indicated in the in-park mail, with the nominal annual fees ($20 single, $35 couple). There is also a $5 option for short-term visitors. If you require instruction on how to use the various types of equipment, volunteers will be available to help you. You may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The goals of the Fitness Club include: to maintain the Wellness Center for the use and enjoyment of all members and guests, to offer instruction in the use of the equipment, and to promote a healthy lifestyle through providing educational opportunities on the value of exercise and proper diet.
