Friday's Resident Newsletter
Your old friend Roadie here, flapping in with a holiday hello. The season has landed, and whew, these days are really flying by. The sun clocks out earlier, the mornings stretch their wings a little slower, and suddenly everyone’s reaching for a sweater. Bundle up, friends, it’s a chilly 80 degrees out there!

It’s time for you weekly newsletter! This week, Dear Roadie takes over the newsletter. We have an important message from the Board in case you missed today’s email, and special holiday hours. Reminder – there is still time to run for the Board of Directors. Volunteer your time and skill and help shape the future of Roadhaven! With that, let’s get in to our LAST NEWSLETTER OF 2025.

Take it away, Roadie!

Well hello there, friends.
I do have to say, I love the holidays, but truthfully, they aren’t always as bright as I remember them to be and some years they are more joyful than I could have anticipated.

This time of year, I see the lights twinkling, hear the music playing, and feel that familiar winter buzz floating through the air. And while so much of the season is filled with laughter and celebration, I also know that every life has its own seasons too.

As the years flutter by, things change. Holidays that once felt loud and busy may feel quieter now. Some of you may be facing this season without a partner who used to sit right beside you. Others might be carrying a new diagnosis, a heavy heart, or simply that feeling that the holidays just do not feel quite the same as they used to.

And you know what? That is okay.

It is okay if your heart is not bursting with holiday cheer. It is okay to feel a little blue, a little reflective, or a little tired. And if you are feeling lonely, I want you to know something important. You are not alone, even when it feels that way. The holidays can be a challenge for many, and it is important to remember that you are not wrong for feeling sadness.

A Blue Christmas happens more often than we realize, especially in a community like ours. That is why kindness matters so much right now. A smile, a wave, a friendly hello, sharing a story, or a quick check-in with a neighbor can be a small thing that makes a very big difference.

So let us look out for one another. Let us lead with patience, softness, and understanding. You never know what someone else may be carrying under their wings.

You belong here, just as you are, in every season.

Wishing you strength, peace, and love,
Your friend,
Roadie

Phase II Pool and Spa

The Phase II pool and spa will remain closed while repairs are being completed. We’ll share an update as soon as they’re ready to reopen.

Thanks for your patience while this gets fixed up and ready for smooth swimming again.

Reminds me, I gotta check on my birdbath.

Heads-Up Street Striping

The streets will be getting stripes on Monday, December 22 in the afternoon and all day Tuesday, December 23, please avoid the affected areas while work is underway.

HOA Board Treasurer
We’d like to inform you that Ron Sparks (Board Treasurer) has resigned from the Roadhaven Resort HOA Board of Directors, effective earlier today.

We thank Ron for his time and service to the Roadhaven community.

Roadhaven is standing in front of several major financial decisions this season and coming year. Because of this, it is important that the Treasurer position is filled right away.

The Board has approached and appointed Lynda Fennern to serve as Treasurer for the remainder of Ron’s term. Lynda currently serves as Treasurer for the Recreation Council.

Lynda has a strong background in finance. Many residents are already familiar with her from Recreation Council and Finance Committee meetings, where she is known for her careful attention to detail and clear understanding of financial matters. This experience will help make the transition smooth.

With key financial work already in progress, having an active Treasurer in place will help ensure clear and consistent communication. This will allow the Board to answer questions, provide clarity to residents, and move forward with confidence.

We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Respectfully,
Roadhaven Resort HOA Board of Directors

Thank you for helping keep things running smoothly during the busy holiday season.
