Roadhaven Community Updates

Volunteer Opportunity

Help Roadhaven Bloom!

We need at least 4 more volunteers to help plant flowers and make Roadhaven even more beautiful!

When: Tuesday, November 3, at 9 AM
Where: Meet in the courtyard

Please bring your gardening tools and gloves . If you have extras to share, bring those too!

Can you lend a hand? Please contact the Main Office so we can let Alfredo know how many volunteers to expect.

Every helping hand makes a difference. Let’s work together to keep Roadhaven blooming!

Community Safety

Help Keep Roadhaven Safe!

The Emergency Preparedness Ad Hoc Committee helps our community stay safe and ready for emergencies. The committee creates emergency plans, shares helpful safety information, and brings volunteers together to help when needed.

We’re looking for more residents to join! If you would like to help make Roadhaven a safer place for everyone, we’d love to have you!

To join or learn more, please email Sarah Lindsay at roadhavencrem@roadhaven.com .

Working together, we can help keep Roadhaven safe and prepared!

Main Office Reminders

Planning to Rent Your Home? Here's a Friendly Reminder!

If you plan to rent your home, please make sure your HOA account is up to date before your renters move in.

Under Roadhaven's CC&Rs, renter registration may be denied if any assessments on your lot are 30 days or more past due.

To help make the registration process easy for everyone, please check your account and make sure all assessments are paid before your renters arrive.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Roadhaven a great place to call home!

Golf Announcements

Golf Shop Opens for Annual Memberships!

Ready for another great golf season? The Golf Shop will be open for half days on October 29, 30, and 31 to help residents sign up for annual memberships.

Stop by, get your membership, and get ready to enjoy another season on the course!

Golf Course Reopening Update

The golf course is still closed for overseeding as we prepare for the new season. We hope to reopen on November 2, 2026.

Please stay off the course while it is closed. This gives the new grass time to grow and helps keep our course in great shape for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your patience and for helping us care for our golf course!

Accounting Reminders

Continuing Our Commitment to Financial Stewardship

As part of our ongoing commitment to responsible financial management, the Board and management periodically review our operations to ensure we're following industry best practices and using Association resources wisely. Following a recent review of our accounting structure, we've decided to move from an onsite Chief Financial Officer (CFO) model to a third-party Controller model.

We made this decision because we believe the Controller model is the best fit for Roadhaven. This approach is successfully used by many of our sister communities and provides an additional level of independent financial oversight, strengthens internal controls, increases transparency, and allows us to benefit from specialized financial expertise at a lower overall cost.

Our Accounting Department will continue to provide the same excellent day-to-day service our residents have come to expect, and this change will not affect routine accounting operations or resident services.

The Board and management are always looking for opportunities to improve the way we operate. This change reflects our commitment to protecting Association resources, maintaining transparency, and ensuring we continue to be responsible stewards of the funds entrusted to us by our community.

In Memoriam

Remembering Eloda “Pat” Krumwiede

Eloda Pat Krumwiede obituary photograph

It is with heavy hearts, but also tremendous love and gratitude, that we share the passing of our mom, Eloda "Pat" Krumwiede, at the remarkable age of 102.

Many of you at Roadhaven knew Pat from her years as an Arizona snowbird. She loved the sunshine, the activities, the friendships, and especially the opportunity to stay active and enjoy life. Her faith, positive attitude, and love for people were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Pat leaves behind daughters Tammy Krumwiede Valine (Steve) and Shelly Sullivan (Charlie) both part of the Roadhaven family. She also leaves behind James Burnett , her unofficially adopted son, who somehow managed to become part of the family without ever filling out the paperwork!

We are so grateful for the friendships, kindness, and wonderful memories she shared with so many of you over the years.

Mom lived a full and beautiful life, and while we will miss her terribly, we rejoice in knowing she is home with her Lord.

Veterans Celebration

Honoring Our Veterans at Roadhaven

Our Creative Crafts members have been busy putting their talents and hearts into something special! Several members have been creating patriotic Quilts of Courage to present to Roadhaven veterans during this year's Veterans Celebration on November 10 .

One of these beautiful quilts has even been made especially for a Canadian veteran!

Do You Know a Roadhaven Veteran?

If you or someone you know is a veteran, please send their name to Bobbi Thompson at bobbijo46@msn.com .

Share a Message of Appreciation!

For the next three weeks, decorative stars will be available at Coffee and Donuts for residents to write messages of thanks and appreciation to our veterans. These stars will be used as decorations at the Veterans Celebration on November 10.

Stop by for a cup of coffee, enjoy a sweet treat, and take a moment to write a heartfelt message on a star. It's a simple way to show our veterans how much their service means to our community.

If you have questions about the stars, please contact Sarah Linday at the Main Office .

A big thank-you to our Creative Crafts members and everyone helping make this Veterans Celebration meaningful. It's wonderful to see our Roadhaven neighbors coming together to honor those who have served!
