CLUB INTRODUCTION

If there is one thing you can take away from singing karaoke, it’s that it’s very fun. Whether you choose to sing or not, chances are you will enjoy the singers. If you don’t want to sing, you can line dance or slow dance to some of the songs that are being sung or just come and listen. To learn more about the Karaoke Club come to the Rec Center on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. You can see what our club is all about and maybe decide to join our club. New singers are welcome to stop in.

COMMON QUESTIONS

WHAT IS KARAOKE?

Karaoke is a small club that promotes singing in the Roadhaven Resort. We meet every Tuesday in the Rec Hall from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.. We encourage people to come and see how we use the TV screens with the lyrics and background music. Our system is awesome and the song library contains at least 70,000 songs done by several different artists. We welcome singers, listeners, dancers!

CAN ANYONE SING? HOW DOES IT WORK?

All are encouraged to sing. There is no judgment, only encouragement. If you want others who may know your song will sing along as encouragement and support. Our MC, Gene, will sing along and provide sound support and suggestions.

CAN I SING IF I DON'T PLAY AN INSTRUMENT OR READ MUSIC?

Yes! All you need to be able to do is HEAR the music.

WHAT IF I MESS UP?

Don’t worry…even those who have been in Karaoke forever mess up. That’s why we offer a practice time.

WHAT IF THE SONG I CHOOSE IS IN THE WRONG KEY?

The key can be lowered or raised to suit your voice.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO SING BY MYSELF?

Our group is amazing! There are always several who will be glad to sing along with you!

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO SING?

No…although we hope you will become a member, you are welcome to sing or just listen anytime.

MEMBERSHIP DUES AND FEES

$10 per person
$10 per couple or housing unit
