AROUND TOWN - TEMPE TOWN LAKE

Love relaxing near the water but still near the city? Take a trip to Tempe Town Lake, and its surrounding areas provide enjoyable activities (TEMPE CENTER FOR THE ARTS). Tempe Town Lake is known for its mesmerizing sunset and is one of the most visited places in the east valley of Arizona. Visitors stay to spot wildlife, birdwatch, and kayaking.

Do you have your Arizona fishing license? Tempe Town Lake is a delightful place to go fishing.

Tempe Town Lake offers boat, raft, or bike rentals. Unfortunately, swimming is not allowed at Tempe Town Lake. Walking paths along the water and nearby hiking trails keep anyone wishing to stay out of the water at a distance close enough to enjoy the serenity and calmness it provides. 

Take your best friend with you! Tempe Beach Park is where your furry friend is welcome to enjoy the sniffs scenic views.

Looking for something to do after enjoying your day at the lake? Tempe Town Lake is next to ASU Art Museum. Check out their next upcoming event Lucha Libre: Beyond The Arenas starting October 29, 2022 – May 7, 2023 This event is free to visit. Hours of operation are from 11:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. 

Tempe Center for the Arts has different events throughout the week. Wednesday is Walk In Open Mic Night from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Contact Box office/ Ticket Sales at (480) 350-2822 for seating and prices. Prices may vary depending on the event.  If you love a good laugh, Check out Tempe Improv Comedy Theatre! Different comedians are performing every three days till October 30, 2022 prices again may vary depending on who is performing.
