GENERAL RESORT MAINTENANCE
As the summer season kicks off, so do a variety of exciting improvement projects around the community. From upgraded lighting to pet-friendly enhancements, we’re making sure our shared spaces are better, brighter, and more enjoyable for everyone. Here’s a look at what’s been happening so far:
Admin/ARC Windows and Screens
We’re replacing old windows and screens that are broken or leaking. If any screens can be reused, we’ll use them again.
FLOORING
Over time, flooring in common areas can become worn, faded, or even hazardous. Replacing aged flooring is a proactive step to maintain a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for all residents. Apache Building, Architectural office, Security office, and the Poker room will receive new flooring.
Golf Carts
We bought two used golf carts, one for the maintenance team and one for the security patrol team.
Golf Course Maintenance
A new mower and vacuum have been leased. We’re just getting started with our summer improvements, and there’s plenty more to come.Â
Golf Course Pond #8
The pond has been drained and cleaned, removing a lot of mud. Completing this project will help with maintenance and extend its lifespan.
HEATING AND COOLING
We are replacing/installing the following:Â
- 10-ton Heat pump to replace unit #6 on Rec Hall
- 5-ton carrier heat pump to replace unit #5 on Rec Hall
- 4-ton carrier heat pump to replace for the Fitness Center
- Install a mini-split for activities
- Replaced a mini-split in Hospitality and Information
Phase I Surfaces and Deck
The Phase 1 pools and spa are being resurfaced with Pebble Tec. The pool enclosure is getting a new acrylic lace deck, and the courtyard area between the pools, Main Office, and Rec Hall is also being resurfaced.
PHASE II POOL FENCING
The pool fencing will be completed in Phase II as it was in Phase I last summer. Due to age and rust, the fence requires a professional to cut, weld, and repaint to create longevity and safety for the pool areas.Â
Phase II Spa CAT System
We’re replacing the system that adds chemicals to the spa. The new system will help keep the water safe and balanced.
STREET VALLEY GUTTERS
Street valley gutters, also known as concrete valley gutters or v-gutters, are the shallow concrete channels located where two roadways or driveways meet, usually at intersections or along the edges of sloped streets. Their main purpose is to collect and direct rainwater away from the road surface and into storm drains, preventing flooding and pavement damage.
