LATEST CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome Back!! The Tennis Club is looking forward to a fantastic 2026-2027 season. Whether you are a returning player or just starting out, we have a spot for you. Tennis is an excellent activity to help keep you healthy and fit, and to build lasting social connections. Our Club is made up of terrific people who enjoy the sport. We play hard and we work hard.

We belong to the East Valley Senior Tennis League (EVSTL). It’s membership is made up of about 16 other parks like Roadhaven. We compete in League play at multiple skills levels from early November through early March. There is also Tournament play throughout the season. In addition we offer other options for folks who just want to play for fun. We have lots of social events where players develop life-long friendships.

The first Tournament of the year is the Venture Out Fall Classic at Venture Out Park in Mesa. It runs from October 26 – 31. Check us out! We would love to meet you!

EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS

In addition to League Tennis play, we have Recreational Tennis options for fitness and fun you can’t beat:

  • Rounds of 8 in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed formats
  • Mixer Tennis (Thursday afternoons)
  • Ladder Tennis (Saturdays)
  • Round Robin Tennis (Saturday and Sunday mornings)

COMMON QUESTIONS

What options are there for beginners or new members?

We welcome and highly encourage beginners! Beginner’s lessons are available for all ages, ranging from 55 to nearly 90. This exemplifies the variation in talents, and new people are continually bringing fresh talent enthusiasm.

Even those with no interest in playing tennis or physical capabilities to play can become a social member. This allows participation in all Club activities except leadership roles.

What proficiency levels do you recognize?

There are 6 proficiency levels: 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. All teams at each level have a Captain that arranges the weekly competition with other resorts. Be assured, every level, including the lowest, has its joy and satisfaction, although because of the number of players on each team at each level, there is no guarantee that you will play league every week. Captains try to play as many people as possible each week, but it depends upon how many teams the opposition sends too.

Do you hold competitive matches and tournaments?

Yes! Aside from the many privately arranged games within Roadhaven, there are organized competitive team matches and tournaments with other park teams as part of the East Valley Senior Tennis League (EVSTL). Each league team has its own Captain. League play includes one match and one practice session every week.
