HAPPY FRIDAY, ROADHAVEN
The holiday season is here, and there’s so much to look forward to! As we celebrate, we want to keep you updated on important office and golf hours, and reminders to ensure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable holiday. Whether you’re hitting the golf course, hosting family and friends, or simply relaxing, we’ve got all the details you need right here. Let’s make this holiday season at Roadhaven the best one yet!
A quick heads-up about holiday hours!
- Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31: The offices will close at noon.
- Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1: All Roadhaven offices will be closed.
This includes the Main Office, Architectural and Activities Offices, Mailroom, Maintenance, and Golf Pro Shop.
Board Open Office Hours
Our Board Open Office Hours will take a holiday break, too. They’ll be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1. They’ll start up again on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.
Bingo Paused
Bingo games will be paused the next two Mondays, Dec. 23, and Dec. 30. But don’t worry—we’ll bring the fun back on Monday, Jan. 6!
Register Your Guests
The holidays are here, and that means more family and friends coming to visit—yay! Please remember to register your guests before they arrive by filling out the Guest Registration Form.
If your guests arrive after hours or when the Main Office is closed, they must pick up a Guest Wristband from Security.
A couple of important things:
- Guests staying overnight or using amenities such as the pools or sporting courts, must have a Guest Wristband.
- Residents must wear their photo badges. Wearing your badge is super helpful! It shows everyone (security, staff, and neighbors) that you belong here, lets you use the fun amenities, and even helps identify you in case of an emergency.
Thank you for helping us keep Roadhaven safe and friendly!
Interesting Info
Architectural Help
Thinking of building something or making changes to your property? Don’t forget to check the Architectural page on our website (Menu: My Roadhaven>Resident Pages>ARCHITECTURAL) for info on permits and rules. This will help you stay on track with Roadhaven Resort and Apache Junction guidelines.
Tennis Screens
Ever wonder about those temporary privacy screens by the small wall near the canal on Chippewa? They’re there to help block glare from car windshields so tennis players can play without distractions. The Tennis Club puts them up when needed and stores them when they’re not in use. Pretty cool, right?
Recycling at Roadhaven
The Big 5 – Hang on to this information!
You can click on the flyer to enlarge it. Use the toggle box below for a text-reader friendly version.
#1 Aluminum
- Clean aluminum beverage cans, pie pans, serving trays, cat food cans, and foil.
- Absolutely no other aluminum items, such as lawn furniture, automotive parts, or other related items.
#2 Paper
- Newspaper, printing paper, junk mail, shredded paper, magazines, paper sacks, and phone books, wax-free shipping paper.
- If it’s not listed above, it’s not allowed.
#3 Plastic Bottles
- Clean plastic bottles, jugs, and containers with Plastic #1-7 stamped.
- Plastic coat hangers, clothes baskets, PVC piping, patio furniture, electronics, and plastic bags are not a 1-7 container, so it doesn’t belong in your cart.
- Containers must be empty at a minimum and rinsed whenever possible.
- Place plastic tops back on containers prior to recycling.
#4 Cardboard
- Cardboard boxes, cereal, frozen food, and detergent cartons.
- That’s it—no other fiber products.
- If it’s not listed above, it’s not allowed.
- Wood, carpet, and textiles are sometimes made from natural fiber but they aren’t cardboard or cartons, so they don’t belong in your cart.
- Also, remove any plastic, Styrofoam, and other related packaging items and place them within your trash cart.
- Lastly, flatten all boxes to avoid overfilled carts.
#5 Tin
- Steel tin cans, vegetable, fruit, soup, etc. If it’s not a tin can, it doesn’t go into your recycling cart.
- Metal hangers, scrap metal, frying pans, automotive parts, or anything else that doesn’t resemble a can is not accepted.
Glass
- The current model for glass and the distance it must travel for processing is no longer a sustainable or eco-friendly option.
- WCoFAZ is constantly looking at ways of minimizing its carbon footprint and emissions created by recycling/manufacturing.
- Due to the composition of glass (sand), introducing it to landfill is safe and environmentally sound.
No Hazardous Waste!!!
ANYTHING NOT LISTED ABOVE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE DUMPSTER!
- No oil, paint, batteries, liquids, construction debris, etc.
- If you witness any homeowner disposing of these items, please report to your property management.
Thank you for your understanding, it is truly WCoFAZ’s goal in making recycling beneficial to you, your community, and your planet. Let’s get on board with green!

Reminders for Golf Carts
- All power golf carts must have a Roadhaven Golf Flag when on the course.
- Please stick to the cart paths unless you’re flying a yellow/orange handicap flag, in which case you can use the 90° rule—but keep at least 20 feet away from the greens.

Honor System During Closures
When the Golf Shop is closed, please use the Honor System:
- For residents: Fill out a slip of paper (available in the mailbox outside the east side of the Golf Shop).
- For non-members: Use a payment envelope (also in the mailbox) and complete it.
- Place everything in the Golf Shop’s door slot.
Why it’s required: Roadhaven must report the number of rounds played on our course each year to the state of Arizona—so your help in logging rounds is greatly appreciated and required.
Have a wonderful time on the course and happy holidays! 🏌️♀️🏌️♂️
