The 16th Ave Gate will be closed for service on Monday, February 23. Please use the Idaho or Broadway gates, which will remain open.

Big Week in the Nest
Ballots are out, streets are closing for resurfacing, and tow trucks won’t be shy so be sure to check the map and move those vehicles on time. We’re recruiting Block Captains to help keep our flock safe, reminding everyone to leave the perimeter wall unpecked, and asking pups to handle business in the proper spots. Seasonal check-outs are starting, the Golf Shop is hiring, and the 16th Ave Gate will be closed Monday. Let’s take a look!
Did you know there more to vote on than Board candidates, including:
- Special Assessment
- Rec Hall and Amin office seasonal hours
- Special Election Schedule
- Petition Signature Increase
Not submitting a vote is not the same as voting “No”. Your vote is your voice, make it count. Every ballot counts towards the required quorum. Low participation can impact whether the HOA reaches the required quorum.
Without a quorum important community decisions cannot move forward. Click on the box below to learn more about quorums.
VOTING DEADLINE
Voting closes at 3PM (AZ Time) on March 09, 2026.
Please be sure to submit your ballot before the deadline.
HOW MANY VOTES TO PASS - UNDERSTANDING A QUORUM
Roadhaven has 1,060 lots. This means 1,060 possible votes in an election. This includes paper and electronic ballots. When the community wants to change (amend) the CC&Rs or pass a special assessment, two things have to happen:
1. Quorum. A quorum must be met. Meaning, enough people have to vote.
2. Approval majority. Meaning, enough of those votes are “yes.”
TO APPROVE A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT:
(CC&Rs sections 6.4 and 6.5)
First Voting Round
Of the total membership, 60% must submit a vote (quorum). With 1,060 lots, that means at least 636 ballots must be received. Then, two-thirds of the ballots cast must be “yes” for it to pass (approval majority). If fewer than 636 ballots are submitted, quorum is not reached and the vote fails due to insufficient participation.
Second Voting Round (if needed)
If quorum is not reached in the first round of voting, a second voting round may be held. In that round, only 30% of the membership must submit ballots, which would be 318 ballots.
Again, two-thirds of the ballots cast must be “yes” to pass the special assessment.
TO CHANGE THE CC&RS (AMENDMENT):
(CC&Rs section 8.3)
- More than 50% of all eligible (in good standing) members have to vote. In this example, we will assume everyone is in good standing, and all ballots are valid. 50% of 1,060 (total lots) is 530. So that means at least 531 (50% + 1 lot) must vote.
- Then, two-thirds of the people who voted (in this example, 354 is two-thirds of the 531) must vote “yes” on the item for the CC&R amendment to pass.
This is why every vote matters. No matter what your vote is, be sure to submit your paper or electronic ballot by March 09 at 3PM (AZ time).

Birthday Shoutouts
Do you know someone at Roadhaven who has a birthday coming up? Click the button below so we can give them a shoutout. We won’t post their age or the date but we will post their first and last name.
Golf Shop is Hiring
The Golf Shop is gearing up for next season and is looking for friendly, reliable team members to join the crew. If you enjoy being around the game, meeting residents, and working in a fun, active environment, this could be a great opportunity. Whether you have experience or simply a strong work ethic and positive attitude, we encourage you to learn more. Interested? Contact Gina in Accounting at accounting@roadhaven.com for details and application information.
Emergency Preparedness: Block Captains Needed
We are looking for 6 volunteer Block Captains, one for each block, and 1 Assistant for each block to help as a backup. This is part of our Resort Emergency Plan.
Block Captains help their neighbors get ready for emergencies. They get to know the people on their block, learn about any special needs, keep a basic first aid kit, share important information during emergencies, and help guide neighbors if they need to leave or take shelter. Captains also attend simple trainings and practice drills so they know what to do in a crisis.
If you are responsible, stay calm in tough situations, and want to help your neighbors, we would love to have you on the team. Please email Sarah at roadhavencrem@roadhaven.com if you are interested. See the maps for reference.
Perimeter Block Wall
Here’s a little chirp-worthy reminder about our perimeter block wall. That wall around Roadhaven isn’t just any old roost, it’s part of the HOA’s common area and is maintained by the Association. That means no attachments, no sunshades, no fixtures, no “just this one little thing,” and absolutely no drilling holes into it for drainage or any other reason.
When holes get pecked into the wall or items get bolted on, it can weaken the structure. We want that wall standing tall and sturdy for many seasons to come, not ruffling feathers with preventable repairs. If you’re dealing with drainage issues, please look for solutions that don’t impact the wall itself. There are plenty of options that won’t leave the HOA in a flap.
Thanks for helping keep our community in fine feathered shape. See images.
Street Closures for Asphalt Resurfacing
Take a look at the map to see when your street is scheduled for closure. All vehicles must be completely off the street surface during resurfacing. Any vehicle left on the roadway will be towed, and the towing fee will be charged to your HOA account. Please review the PDF below which contains a two-page map, including the instructions and the color-coded street schedule.
Main Office Reminders
Residents are asked to keep their contact information current by submitting the Information Change Request form or updating it in person at the Main Office.
If you are preparing to check out for the season, please complete the Check Out form or stop by the Main Office before your departure.
Before you leave, remember to purchase forwarding labels to ensure your mail is properly handled.
Dog Relief
Friendly reminder from your neighborhood bird with a keen eye from above. Our common area grounds are not approved potty stops for pets. That includes the golf course. As beautiful as those greens are, they are for golf balls, not… well… you know.
If your four-legged friend needs a break, please take them to designated areas and clean up after them. Even the best-trained pups need a little guidance from their humans. We encourage all dog owners to join the Dog Owners Club, which provides access to the dog parks where tails can wag freely and business can be handled in the right place.
Let’s keep our fairways fair and our community in tip-top shape.
