Let’s Start a Christmas Tradition!
We invite everyone to donate a Christmas ornament that Resident Sandra Magnan will hang from the library ceiling in what we hope will become a yearly display as beautiful as the Chinese lanterns there now!
- Add your name(s) and the year to your ornament.
- Those without an ornament can get a plain one from the library that you can decorate!
- Bring your completed ornaments to the Main or Activities Office during the day or the drop-off box inside the Rec Hall after regular business hours.
- We welcome volunteers to help Sandy with the cheery task of hanging ornaments. You can call Sandy at (707) 485-4288.
Our vision is to continue this every year, adding to previous years’ ornaments and celebrating with current and new residents!
Gate Makeover Gratitude
The new wreath and garlands at the Roadhaven Main Gates look as wonderful and welcoming as Christmas! They are the result of a collaborative effort that took a while. We want to thank:
- Trish Hoagland for instigating this project and finding funds;
- Sandy Hamilton for doing a lot of research;
- Kathy Dowe for making beautiful large red bows;
- Barb Carter for purchasing, lugging, and spending hours decorating the wreath and adding to the garlands; and
- Barb Carter, Barbara Doiron, Cheryl Henderson, Kathy Monty, and Laurie Dunlop of our Creative Crafts Club for attaching the garlands!
Board of Directors
Did you know that homeowners can attend Working Session meetings with Board members and management? Working Session discussions include agenda items and topics for upcoming Open Board meetings and allow homeowners to share feedback during Open Forum.
- In-person option: Tuesday, Dec. 10, 10AM, Dakota Room
- Simultaneous online option for first 100 participants only: Zoom Room Link
- Meeting ID: 963 662 6197
- Passcode: Rh2k23
We need volunteers and alternates willing to help at Town Hall and Open Board Meetings! If you attend all meetings and could help with microphone holders, time trackers, and head counters, please email your name, contact info, and availability to Sarah Lindsay (board@roadhaven.com).
Recognizing Steve Byfield
On November 20, 2024, the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce recognized their outgoing Chairman of the Board, Steve Byfield, at the Board of Directors meeting. Incoming Chairman, Brian Heath of the Salt River Project, presented Steve with a custom plaque and engraved chrome wedge. We join the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce, in celebrating Steve’s six years of service and commitment with the Chamber.
Golf Updates
Interested in golf lessons this coming January 2025? Get Rich!
Rich Lundahl is an experienced golf professional with a rich background in both teaching and playing. His passion for the game was shaped by his father, Dick Lundahl, who played on the PGA Tour in the 1950s and had a long career as a PGA Professional. Rich began his teaching career in the 1990s at Gold Canyon and Mountain Brook Golf Clubs, and later served as the Director of Golf at the Nike Golf Learning Center in Gilbert, Arizona. In the early 2000s, he founded his own golf school, Lundahl Golf Schools, in Gilbert, where he worked with golfers of all skill levels.
Rich has also had a successful playing career, competing on multiple professional tours, including the Hogan Tour, Nike Tour, PGA Tour, several mini-tours, and even played baseball with the New York Mets winning the World Series in 1986. His wealth of experience on both the instructional and competitive sides of the game has made him a respected figure in the golf community.
Rich leaves in June and has limited availability so be sure to reach out if you’re interested. You can find his business cards in Roadhaven’s Golf Pro Shop.
Click on the box above to go to the Golf page.
It is mandatory for residents to use the honor system when the Golf Shop is closed. Slips of paper are available outside the east side of the Golf Shop and must be completed if golfing after hours. Roadhaven is required to report the number of rounds played on our course each year.
