EMERGENCY CONTACT
Nobody wants to think about something bad happening to them or their loved ones. But anyone can have an emergency, no matter their age or how healthy they are. The upside is, you can have a plan in place should such a situation arise. One of the first, and most important, steps you can take is to complete our emergency contact form. Choose people you trust and consider who may be willing and able to answer questions and make decisions if needed. Your emergency contact(s) might be any number of people in your life, such as a family member, a friend, a neighbor. Your emergency contact(s) will be the first person/people we will contact in case of an emergency. Don’t forget to share your emergency contact list with the people on the list. Likewise, share your list with the people in your household and with us, this will help keep us all in the loop should something happen to you. No matter what tomorrow brings, you can take steps to be ready today. So that we can help you navigate an unexpected event as efficiently as possible, please take a moment to fill out this Emergency Contact Form.

RESORT MANAGEMENT

ANNOUNCEMENTS

[TEMPORARY CLOSURE] DOG PARK - LARGE DOGS

The Dog Park for Large Dogs will be closed for turf treatment on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. The treatment is scheduled during these early morning hours because direct sunlight can reduce its effectiveness. The product distributor suggests this time to maximize effectiveness. Rest assured, the product used is safe for both pets and people.

[TEMPORARY CLOSURE] DOG PARK - SMALL DOGS

We estimate we’ll begin working on improvements to the Dog Park for Small Dogs Apr. 15 through June 3, 2024.

DOG PARK SHARED HOURS (at Dog Park for Large Dogs)

During that time, all pet owners will need to share the Dog Park for Large Dogs.
Timeshare hours are as follows and will be posted at the pet parks.
7:00 am – 9:30 am: Small Dogs
9:30 am – 12:00 pm: Large Dogs
12:00 pm – 2:30 pm: Small Dogs
2:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Large Dogs
5:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Small Dogs
7:30 pm – 10:00 pm: Large Dogs
The park is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. If your dog doesn’t qualify for the designated hours due to its size, please utilize the retention area instead.

PHASE II POOL HEATER
The Phase II pool heater is currently undergoing warranty work, so the pool is not being heated, but it remains open for use. Another reason for the delay – the vendor sent us the wrong blower motor and we had to reorder it.

DIRECTORY OPT-OUT
If you DO NOT want to be included in the digital or printed directory (book), you can opt out by completing the Directory Opt-Out form.

[RUMOR] SIDING ON HOMES IMPACT TAX RATE
Rumor regarding the types of siding on homes and their impact on our tax rate: It’s speculated that if the number of park models with stucco siding increases, they may no longer be considered movable, potentially affecting how our park is assessed. Additionally, there’s talk of a new rule being considered that would eliminate homes with aluminum or steel siding, as the number of stucco and board-sided homes increases.
Verdict: FALSE! The type of siding does not change our tax status, and we will remain an RV resort. The RV’s with stucco/EIFS are still movable. No new rule eliminating homes with aluminum or steel siding is being considered.
[RUMOR] GOLF IS FREE

Rumor: You can golf for free after the Golf Office closes at 4:00 pm.

Verdict: False! All golfers, whether members or not, must sign in at the Honor System station before starting to play golf. Look for instructions on the golf shop door and grab a registration form from one of the two mailboxes nearby – one for members and the other for guests. Security will be on the course checking golfers and making sure they’ve registered using the Honor System slips.

[RUMOR] OASIS DISCOUNTS - GM EATS FREE

Rumor: Staff receives a 15% discount at Oasis and the GM eats for free.
Verdict: Kinda true. As we shared at
the Jan. 17, 2023 Board Meeting, the staff does receive a 15% discount at Oasis. However, the GM does not eat for free.

Have you heard a rumor that you would like the facts on, we just might feature it in an upcoming Rumor vs. Fact!

Section VIII: Swimming Pools and Therapy Pools
B. Only proper swimming attire shall be worn in swimming and therapy pools. The wearing of “street clothes” in swimming or therapy pools is strictly prohibited. Adults are required to use body coverings, including the torso, when using any of the common areas (this is any area excluding your lot) except when in the enclosed fenced pool areas. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Curious as to who creates event flyers and banners or coordinates event and club sponsorships? That’s just a glimpse of what the Roadhaven Marketing Department does. This is not a new department, marketing has been around for several seasons and has also helped clubs secure funding!

Looking to secure funds for your club next season?
Email Roadhaven’s Marketing Department. The sooner we know about your events OR areas that you can hang a vinyl banner or sign throughout the season. The sooner we can offer opportunities to vendors for sponsorship and possibly get your club funding for next season. The best part? Clubs keep 100% of the funding received! (less any credit/debit processing fees) For vendors – we offer advertising opportunities across various channels like the website, newsletters, flyers, and banners. They get more bang for their buck, and it’s a win-win for all. Email us at marketing@roadhaven.com for more information.

WEBSITE

Roadhaven.com and the HOA Portal are separate website with different features. Click here to read about it.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you would like to see pictures for this seasonsign in to roadhaven.com and visit our profile. Click on TIMELINE or use this link to view all the Member Activity feed

We received user feedback and we are making appropriate changes to the website during the off-season. While we cannot implement every suggestion, we are taking steps to make the website easier to navigate and find information. Next season, a Communications Committee will work to help us create dynamic resident-focused content.

We’re aligning Desktop and Mobile navigation and launching ResortResidents, and Real Estate pages. You will find them in the Desktop and Mobile navigation (see images). These are hub pages that will allow us to simplify the navigation of our content-rich site.

Hub pages/linking pages are common practices in web design, they are part of a larger set of strategies and standards used to create effective and user-friendly websites. Because they house the web pages currently found in the navigation, we will soon be removing the long list of pages under the navigational areas (see image).

To further enhance user experience, Amenities and Resort pages are for prospective residents.

Current residents can access services like Massage Therapy Appointments and the Contractors List on the Residents page.

On the Real Estate page, you can create your own or request a listing be created for you. iPhone or iPad users may face image compatibility issues (HEIC format), but our listing request form accepts HEIC images.

For easier navigation, JUMP AHEAD menus and a SCROLL TO TOP button are added. Direct links will be used to streamline navigation within pages.

GOOD TO KNOW

If you’re wondering why you cannot upload images to the Real Estate or Classified Ads using your iPhone or iPad, it’s because these devices use their own photo format called HEIC. HEIC is exclusive to Apple devices, and when you email these files, the email client typically converts them to the common JPEG format. Here’s how we can help – We’ll soon release Real Estate and Classified Ad hub pages where you can create your own listing or request that a staff member create your listing for you.
