HAPPY FRIDAY, ROADHAVEN
We send love to our Roadhaven community and wish everyone a lovely Valentine’s Day!
All Roadhaven Offices will be CLOSED this Monday, February 17, for Presidents’ Day.
We will resume regular office hours at 8am on Tuesday, February 18.
The Phase II hot tub is now up and running at proper temperatures.
Thank you for your patience during its repair.
Future Restaurant Ad Hoc Meetings are on hold until further notice.
We greatly appreciate the time and input from all who contributed to the Committee! If all goes well, their work to select a vendor will revive the Restaurant for next season. Management is currently in talks with this vendor before presenting a final contract agreement to the Board for approval.
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator and Golf Pro Shop coverage.
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator. Do you think you have what it takes to coordinate our volunteers? Start thinking about it as we release more details in the next few weeks.
If you are interested in working in the Golf Pro Shop, download and submit the application found in the Golf Update section of this newsletter below.

MAINTENANCE GATE UPDATE
Due to liability concerns, the Maintenance Yard Gate will now remain closed at all times:
- If you need tools, there are a variety of options at the Garden Shed – click here to see items.
- If you have maintenance requests or work orders, submit this form, visit the HOA Portal, or talk to our Main Office staff.
- If you would like to leave a message for our Maintenance Crew, contact the Main Office through this form or see us in person – we’ll pass your message along.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Know Before You Go! What to Flush and What NOT to Flush
This applies to the bathrooms in your park model homes, hooked-up RVs, and the public restrooms at Roadhaven Resort.
Our wastewater system (a wet well) works by collecting waste in a big tank before sending it to a treatment facility. To keep it running smoothly, we need to be careful about what we flush. Some items can cause clogs, break the system, or make it harder to clean the water. Even if something is labeled “flushable,” only pee, poop, and small amounts of toilet paper should be flushed. All other items should be thrown in the trash to keep our system working properly.
What You Can Flush:
- Human waste (pee and poop) – This is what the system is made for.
- Toilet paper – It breaks down quickly and won’t clog the pipes.
What You Cannot Flush:
- Adult or Baby Diapers and disposable underwear – They have plastic and gel that won’t break down. They can clog the pipes and damage the system.
- Wipes (even “flushable” ones) – They don’t break down fast enough and can block pipes and pumps.
- Feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads, applicators) – These can get stuck and cause clogs.
- Cotton balls and swabs – These don’t dissolve and can block the pipes.
- Dental floss – It can tangle in the system and cause big problems.
- Cigarette butts – They have chemicals that can mess up the treatment process.
- Cat litter – It absorbs liquid, clumps together, and causes major clogs. Some types even have chemicals that can harm the system.
- Grease or fats – These can harden in the pipes and block water from flowing.
- Harsh chemicals (like bleach, paint, and pesticides) – These can kill the helpful bacteria that break down waste.
- Food scraps – These don’t break down properly and can cause blockages.
- Hair – It can tangle and clog the pipes.
- Paper towels or napkins – These don’t break down as fast as toilet paper and can clog the system.
Why This Is Important:
Flushing the wrong things has caused Roadhaven to shut off the water and hire a company to fix the system. This costs a lot of money for our HOA community.
Simple Rule to Follow:
Even if it is a “flushable” item, only flush pee, poop, and small amounts of toilet paper. Everything else should go in the trash to keep our system running properly.

A few years ago, it was decided that the resort’s power system could not handle charging stations. However, this might be looked at again in the future with SRP to see if it could work.
Residents are required to follow the rules for using common areas, including cleaning up. This can be found in the Roadhaven Resort Governing Documents under “1.4 Common Area Facility Usage” and “1.1 Kitchen & Rec Hall Usage”.
The Board and Management are working on this for the Main Gate.
Our General Manager, Trish Hoagland, is looking into this and setting up a meeting to learn more. Since this was handled by the previous General Manager, more details will be shared after Trish’s meeting.
Yes, street repairs could be considered a capital improvement, and in theory, the cost could be covered through a special assessment if the members vote for it. At this time, there is no special assessment for the streets; this is just the answer to the question of if they could be included.
The Sports Complex group is working with the Shuffleboard, Tennis, and Pickleball Clubs to make a plan. Right now, there is no final plan to share.
GOLF UPDATES
Our Golf Course is very busy this time of year! Last-minute tee times are getting harder to find, so try to book yours a day or two in advance to get the time you want.
To help us stay on schedule, please have your whole group check in at the Golf Shop at least 10 minutes before your tee time. If you need to pay or rent equipment, arrive even earlier. If you’re ready and checked in, we might even get you out a little early!
Remember to play “ready golf.” Tee times are set every 7–8 minutes, and a group of four should finish 9 holes in about an hour. We want everyone to enjoy the course, so please keep the game moving. Our volunteer Marshals are here to help with that.
Wear your ID badge at all times.
If you’re golfing after hours, please use the honor system. Members, fill out a slip; non-members, place payment in an envelope. Both go into the slot in the Golf Shop door. It’s important for us to track all rounds played as it is required by the State of Arizona for all golf courses.
Thanks for helping us keep the course running smoothly!
Click on the box above to go to the Golf page.
Join our Golf Shop Team! We’re always looking for passionate individuals with strong customer service skills and a love for golf! We are excited to open the application process for next season with possible early training this season for remaining coverage needs.
To apply: Submit your completed application and resume to Gina Gulla (accounting@roadhaven.com) in the Main Office.
FROM THE MAIN OFFICE
The Lost and Found in the Main Office is holding a couple of jackets. If you’ve misplaced an item, check in with the Main Office as soon as possible. Remember, they will donate any unclaimed items after 30 days.
